What’s Happening in St. Pete: A Local Guide to September 2026

One of the things we love most about being part of the St. Petersburg community is that there is always something happening.

Whether you’re looking for a night out with friends, something fun to do with the family, live music, art, food, or simply an excuse to get out of the house, St. Pete has a pretty good way of keeping your calendar full.

So, as we head into the end of August and begin September, we put together a few things worth checking out around town.

🎨 Keep an Eye on the Arts 🎨

If there’s one thing St. Pete does exceptionally well, it’s art.

The city is packed with galleries, museums, studios, and creative spaces, and the next month is a great time to explore them.

One of our favorites is The Dalí Museum, where Dalí Alive 360° is running through September 20. It’s an immersive experience that brings Salvador Dalí’s work to life in a completely different way.

If contemporary art is more your thing, the Morean Arts Center is another great local stop. It’s a genuinely community-focused arts space with rotating exhibitions, classes, and creative programming.

And if you’ve never been to the Imagine Museum or Chihuly Collection, consider this your sign.

Make a day of it. Grab lunch. Walk Central. Look at some art. Support a local business.

That’s a pretty good St. Pete afternoon.

Yes, it’s Florida.

Yes, it’s hot.

But that doesn’t mean we have to stay inside all month.

The St. Pete Pier continues to be one of our favorite places to spend an evening, and Movement Mondays are scheduled for August 31 through September and continue as a free, family-friendly community gathering with music and movement from 7–9 PM.

It’s casual, it’s local, and it’s exactly the kind of event that reminds you why living in St. Pete is pretty great.

Bring the family. Bring a friend. Bring a blanket.

Just maybe bring some water, too.

🎶 There’s Always Something Playing 🎶

If live music is more your speed, you’re definitely not going to have trouble finding something.

September is bringing plenty of live music to St. Pete, from The Psychedelic Furs & Living Colour at Jannus Live on September 3 to Michael Franti Trio on September 23 and Little Big Town at the Mahaffey on September 24.

And if you’re looking for something a little more laid-back, COPA is hosting Sunday jazz throughout the month, including the Western Gypsies, Bri Rivera Band, and Bossa Joy Band.

That’s something we love about this city.

You don’t always need to plan a huge night out. Sometimes the best nights are grabbing dinner, finding some live music, and seeing where the evening takes you.

🤝 Get Involved in the Community 🤝

St. Pete isn’t just about entertainment.

There are also plenty of opportunities to connect with other people who live, work, and build businesses here.

The St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce has several events coming up in late August and September, including business workshops, networking opportunities, community spotlights, and events designed to connect local professionals.

For us at BBD Lifestyle, this part is especially important.

We don’t just work in St. Pete.

We’re part of St. Pete.

The clients we work with, the businesses we partner with, the homes we work in, and the people we meet throughout the community are what make this area feel like home.

🏡 And That’s Really What BBD Lifestyle Is About 🏡

At BBD Lifestyle, we spend a lot of our time talking about technology—smart homes, Lutron shading, lighting control, entertainment, automation, and all of the cool things you can do with your home.

But at the end of the day, it’s never really about the technology.

It’s about how you live.

It’s about opening your shades in the morning and letting the Florida sunshine in.

It’s about coming home after a night downtown and having your lights already set exactly how you like them.

It’s about sitting outside with friends, watching the sunset, or hosting people you love.

Your home is where life happens.

And that’s why we love being part of a community like St. Pete.

You never know what you’ll discover.

And if you happen to see the BBD Lifestyle team around town, come say hello.

We’re proud to call St. Petersburg home, and we’re even prouder to help make the homes here a little smarter, a little more comfortable, and a whole lot more enjoyable.

From our BBD family to yours—get out there and enjoy St. Pete.

Event dates and schedules can change, so we recommend checking the official event page before heading out.
